Make sharing part of your story.
Understand which advocates bring people who become customers.

Good things get passed on.
A recommendation between friends can start something big. Make it easy to share. Make the next step measurable.
- Native and web share sheets
- Opaque sharer identifiers
- Single-use referral recovery codes
Little details.
A bigger difference.
Create a share record for a link and pass its URL to the system share sheet. The recipient’s eligible click preserves the share relationship. Your server connects that click to a verified signup or payment.
Put sharing in the product
Create a share record for a link with an opaque sharer ID and relevant context. Add the returned share URL to your native or web share sheet.
Preserve the connection
When the shared link is opened, its signed click token carries the share relationship into your event pipeline. Explicit referral codes support consented post-install recovery.
Measure the outcome
Connect a server-verified signup or payment to the token. Use an assigned partner to earn commissions, or analyze sharer metadata for your own referral rewards.

Good questions.
Clear answers.
Is the sharer’s email included in the URL?
Use an opaque sharer ID. The URL contains the share identifier, not an email address. Avoid putting personal data in link parameters or arbitrary metadata.
Can a referral code be claimed twice?
One claim ID can claim a code. Retries using that same ID are safe; a different claim ID cannot take it. Codes expire after 24 hours.
Are referral rewards automatic?
Links assigned to partners can earn commissions on verified revenue. For other customer reward programs, use share metadata and signed event webhooks to apply your own reward rules.
